Review: Black Radiance Shine Control Primer

Price: $4.99
Location: Walmart

This shine control primer is really good for oily skin. When I apply this primer, it makes my face matte and I do not have to apply a lot. This can work alone, under a foundation or under a bb cream. It makes your face very smooth.

Pros:
·        Smooth
·        Easy to Apply
·        Controls shine
·        Controls oil
·        Lasts Long

Cons:
·        Need to allow it to set for about 5 mins, so you have to add 5-10 mins to your makeup routine

This primer lasts really long. I bought this bottle in October and I still have enough in there to last me about another month and a half. It is definitely a must try product. Many people believe that it is only made for African American skin because their makeup is made primarily for Women of Color. However, I have friends from other ethnicities (Caucasian, Mexican, Italian, etc.) who use this product as well, so it can be used for everyone and everyone loves it. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a primer that is very affordable.
Thanks loves!

My Must Have Skin Care Products

St. Ive’s Oatmeal and Shea Butter Body Moisturizer
I love this product because it is so light weight and it leaves my skin feeling very soft. It’s really creamy. When I pour the products in my hand, I can just feel how much it is going to moisturize my skin. I LOVE IT!!! It’s also really affordable, you can get it for about $5-7.

Dove Cream Oil Body Wash
This is one of the best body washes out. Some moisturizers dry out your skin, but this one makes it feel so smooth. It makes my skin feel very silky and soft. It does not dry out my skin like some body washes do. This is a must try/must have product.

Eucerin Calming Cream
I love this because my skin beaks out sometimes and when it breaks out the spots get very dry. In order for me to apply my medicine to it, I have to apply a good moisturizer to it first and my doctor prescribed this. I love it because if I am out somewhere and I begin to have a breakout, I can just apply this to it and it can keep it under control and calm until I can apply my medicine. I would recommend this someone who has very dry skin or has occasional break outs like me.

Clean and Clear Essentials Foaming Facial Cleanser
I love this product and for my review on it, see my earlier post on it. J

What's In My Travel (In Purse) Makeup Bag?!

I love my makeup bag in my purse. I mainly just go in for the lip gloss when I need to. Travel bags are good to have in case you do need to make a touch up to your makeup or you were running late and need to apply some when you get to where you're going. In any circumstance, they are good to have!

1. Beauty Gems Blotting Paper

I bought this from Ulta for $2, I caught it on sale. I love this because I love the case that it came in and I just think it is so cute :). I have to use these frequently because I have oily skin so it helps to control it.

2. My Q-tips :)
You can find these anywhere. I love these for times when I am out and I need to remove my eye makeup, it takes of eye makeup really well, but you do need a remover to help. I took my remover out of my bag but I use the Maybelline expert eyes eye makeup remover.

3. Hand Lotion
I can't remember where I got this from, but it smells very good and it moisturizes really good.

4. Lip Gloss
This lip gloss is by essence, I purchased it at Ulta. I am not really a fan of this gloss, but it will do whenever I need touch-ups.

5. Vaseline
I honestly do not know what I would do if I did not have my vaseline in here. Vaseline can be used for so many things, that is why I have it in here. Its self-explanatory.

6. Sinful Colors Eyshadow Trio

I bought this from walgreens for $3.99. I bought it so that I could have a shadow for emergencies and it is actually a good shadow and the pigments are really good.

6. Revlon Mirror

I bought this mirror at the campus bookstore at my old college before I transferred to my new one. It is a really good mirror and sturdy! I've dropped it about 500 times and it is still in good shape. :)

7. Eucerin Calming Creme
I have this for whenever my skin breaks out to soothe it.

7. Maybelline GreatLash
If you go back to my comparison post, you will see how I feel about this mascara. I am not a fan, but it will do if I need a mascara when I am on the go.

8. Softlips
I love my soft lips. I do not know what I would do if I did not have a lip balm with me at all times. Especially since it's cold now, we need to keep our lips conditioned.

9. Ecotools EyeShadow Brush
This is an item that I takeout and put in everyday. This is one of my favorite eyeshadow brushes and I use it almost everyday.

If you like the post, remember to give it some +1s.

The reason that I do not carry too many products and barely use the products is because I apply my makeup and every morning and it lasts me every day. I really have my bag for emergencies or if I end up crashing somewhere one night and need some face products the next night. You never know!

Also, If you would like me to do a review on any of the products, just let me know in the comment box below.

What do you use to remove your face makeup?

I use the Clean and Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser to remove the makeup from my face. I also, use it with my facial cleansing buffs when I exfoliate. I LOVE this stuff because it removes everything and it is very affordable. I would recommend for everyone to try it. You can get it at any drugstore and Ulta. They range from $3.99-$5.99. I usually get mine from Ulta (if you haven't noticed, I shop there a lot) for about $4.49.

What type of cleanser do you use to remove your makeup and why do you love it?

If you answer this question in the comment box, your chances of winning the giveaway will be even better :)

I will be posting a giveaway teaser by the end of the week, so keep checking on my blog and see if you can figure it out.

How To: Care For Brushes

Cleaning Brushes is very import because bacteria collects on them over time and you do not want your brushes to get that bacteria on your face. It is very important that you clean them when you first purchase them and periodically to remove old makeup, dirt, oil, bacteria and dead skin cells. Keeping these things on your brush can cause you to break out and have many other irritations.

How To Clean Your Brushes:
(I wash all of my brushes the same)

One.
Wet the hairs of the brush under the faucet. Make sure that the brush is facing downward and the water is warm.
Two.
Add a cleaning aid to the brush that is not going to irritate your skin (find one that best suits you). A few examples are baby shampoo, liquid hand soap, facial soap, etc. Personally, I use the Japanese Cherry Blossom antibacterial foaming hand soap (bath and body works) because it cleans my brushes very well, makes them smell good and it does not break me out. I suggest that people who have sensitive skin use baby shampoo because it is very mild.
Three.
Once you add the cleaning aid to the brush, make it lather, then rinse it to clean. If all makeup is not out of the brush, repeat this step until it is.
Four.
Lastly, lay the clean brushes onto a clean paper towel so that they can dry before you next use them

How Often Should Makeup Brushes Be Cleaned

Foundation Brushes: once a week
Bronzer, Blush and Powder Brushes: once a week
Eyeshadow Brushes: every 2-3 days
Eyeliner Brushes: daily, if you use gel because it is so thick on the brush

Hope this helped you guys!
