CaraBox Swap :)

Hi loooooooooves!!!

So in earlier in the month I signed up to do a Carabox Swap. I signed up to do the swap because on of my dear friends named Crystal had did a blog post about it and I was like "OMG that looks like so much fun". So, I signed up! The way the swap works is you're assigned two girls...one of the girls will send you something and you will send something to the other girl...it's a bit confusing...but it works so that everyone can get something. To sign up for the May carabox swap click here.

So, for the Month of April our theme was going green. The two girls that I was assigned were Jaime and Aimee...so weird because I just realized their names rhyme and all threee of our names in in the "eeeee" sound. Anyway, I was assigned to give a box to Aimee. To see her blog and what I sent here click here.

The girl who sent to me was Jaime. To see Jaime's blog click here I really appreciate Jaime taking the time out to send me the stuff because she's now a new mommy and had her baby during the swap and he is adorable! :) She sent me:

1. Bath Bomb

I will be putting this to use tomorrow night because I have a stress filled day on Thursday because I have 2 final exams that are 3 hours each, plus I have to go to work for 4.5 hours after I finish. So, these will definitely come in handy tomorrow!

2. Daily Makeup Brush Cleaner

She knows that makeup is like my life! I have been wanting to try out making my own brush cleaner and some how she must have figured it out or took a really good guess! I love it and use it all the time to spot clean my brushes.

3. Bath Bar

I love, love, love Yardley soaps for my skin. The scent in this one smells so good, I haven't even opened the box yet, but I can smell it through and it smells amazing!

4. Burt's Bee's Blemish Stick

She was interested to see how this worked...and so was I :). Surprisingly it actually works! All you do is take the roller ball and roll it over your blemish and it feels really cool on it and it helps make them fade away! I love it and keep it in my purse at all times...and it's going in my April Favorites Post.

5. Reese's Peanut Butter Banana Bread

She gave me this recipe because I told her that I love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, they're like the best thing in the world to me. I am really excited about trying this recipe. There has been so many days since she's sent it that I have been wanting to make it, but everything I go to the grocery store I end up eating the Reese's before I get back home.

6. Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs (Not Pictured)

Well, they're not pictured because I ate them :(. I couldn't help it...they look (and tasted) so good! They weren't a part of the going green theme...but she sent them because she knew how much I love them.

I am very happy that I got a chance to meet Aimee and Jaime! They are both so sweet and I will continue to talk to them in the future.

Don't forget to signed up for next month's box swap. I hope that you all enjoyed this post! Follow my instagram: instagram.com/makeupandbeautylover15, +1 this post and subscribe. Talk to you soon loves!

Look of the Day + Product of the Day!

Hi lovesssssssssss!!!

I decided to take a study break to put up a post for you all! I really love my look today! The last few days I have done my look of the day using drugs...so today I did higher end brands. Which is weird because I'm wearing a hoodie, leggings and rainboots today because of the rain...but, who says we can't enhance our beauty in the rain!

But...here's what I'm wearing on my face today:

  • Smashbox Foundation Primer
  • Smashbox Eyelid Primer
  • Lancome Teinte Idole Ultra 24H SPF 15 Foundation in 430 Bisque C
  • Clinique Superpowder Double Face Makeup in Matte Tawny
  • Smashbox Blush Rush in Bare
  • Benefit Eyeshadows in Peach Fuzz and Brown Buss (from the Greeting from Cabana Glama Set)
  • Benefit They're Real Mascara
  • Smashbox Limitless Eyeliner
  • Urban Decay Chill Makeup Setting Spray
  • Rimmel Kiss of Life Lipstick (Only Drugstore Product for Today)
The product that I choose as my favorite for today is...Rimmel Lipstick...because its is a Red and I normally don't do red lips...but I am loving it today. Its funny because I've had it in my collection for a few months now and I think I've worn it one time before today...but I think I'm going to start wearing it more.

Today's Beauty Look...#Natural

All this week, I have been doing a natural look with my makeup. So today, I decided to go for a very natural look. What I'm wearing today is:

  • NYX HD Powder Foundation (A little bit!)
  • NYC Eyeliner in Black (It's not a harsh black)
  • CoverGirl Professional Mascara in Brown Black
  • Brown Lipliner
  • Wet n' Wild Lipstick in Birthday Suit
  • L'Oreal Brow Powder
It may sound like kind of a lot is on my face...but it really is not. Nortmally it takes me 15-20 minutes to do my makeup but today only took about 6...so its a big difference. I tried to make this look as natural as possible and I did :). To see the picture of my look today...click here

Tips for New Beauty Bloggers :)

I know that just starting out a blog can be a bit of a drag and developing ideas of your own can be a challenge sometimes. I've only been blogging since January, but I feel that I have progressed so much and am so much more comfortable to do posts now. The main reason I am doing this post is because I have been looking at blogs from some new bloggers and I notice that the synopsis of the blog is very similar (nearly identical) to my blog and many others. So, here is some advice that I have to offer to you.

1. BE YOURSELF.
I know that a lot of beauty bloggers posts are going to be very similar: makeup tutorials, reviews, diy, etc. But, you have to make it your own. Don't think that you have to do that just because you feel that's what everyone else is doing. Personally, I LOVE MAKEUP, however, I am not this extremely girlie girl who talks extremely popular...I don't talk ignorant either...but, I write my posts exactly the way that I talk so that I can make my readers be able to relate to me even more as if we were having an actual conversation. Make your blog your own.

2. BE ORIGINAL
Ok, this is the big one. It is okay to admire a blogger for his or her work. The title of my blog is "Makeup. Beauty. Life". There have been times where I am just reading new posts that people post and I notice it from newer bloggers and I see that it will say "Makeup. Beauty. Life. Fashion" or "Makeup. Beauty. Life. Love". Just because a few of the words are changed doesn't mean that you're "technically" not copying someone's blog and you're not being yourself. It takes bloggers a while to devise some of these things and I was one of them. I changed it like 20 times before I came up with it.

3. ASK FELLOW BLOGGERS FOR HELP
I am honestly always open to helping new bloggers out. I really am. Whenever any of my subscribers email me with questions about their blog or starting up their blog I help them out the best that I can. I am not the only blogger who is open to helping fellow bloggers, so many are. Google+ also has a community dedicated to "helping beauty bloggers". There are so many people around to help you and give you ideas.

4. BE DIFFERENT
One of the more challenging things to blog about is beauty, because there are  SO MANY beauty bloggers out here. That was one of the first things I learn. When I first started blogging, I was making posts like everyday, but I have since learned that some of my best posts are the one's that I have not made daily. Good posts take a lot of thinking. My number one thing I do now is do product reviews on products that not everyone has tried. One product that I have not done a review on and will never is the Urban Decay Naked palletes. Everyone in the blog world and youtube have done reviews and tutorials with those. So steer away from things like that.

As always, I hope that all of you ladies enjoy this post as much as I enjoyed writing it. If you have any questions or comment...please comment down below or email me and let me know. Also, don't forget to enter my giveaway! Talk to you soon loves!

Thanks,
Britt

Got2b POWDER'ful Review +Giveaway

Hey loves,

I have another post for you guys today! So, a while back I was on one of my fellow blogger's pages +Crystal A and I saw where she did a post with her being a buzz agent...soooo of course I had to and sign up because I thought it was like the coolest thing ever.

Since I am now a buzz agent, I was able to join a campaign and try out a product. My first ever product to try from buzz agent is "Got2b POWDER'ful".

It is basically a hair powder that gives you volume. I am going to be honest, I was a bit nervous about trying this product because I am African American so I have never used a powder in my hair. I was nervous that it could make my hair itch a lot or just damage it in general. So, I did some online research and found that it wasn't as bad as I had thought. I decided to give it a try. I naturally have pretty thin hair, so I have remedies for adding volume to it. But, when I tried this product it gave instant volume. All I had to do was rub the powder in my hand and into my hair and it automatically gave me volume. I was so happy because it was really easy to do.

So that you all can try out this product I will be giving away ONE of the powders that they sent (they sent 3). They are full size products, so don't worry. The rules for this is going to be a bit strict because the other agents are watching my blog and they want to see your comments. So now for the rules.

1. You MUST be subscribed to my blog through  google+, email or bloglovin.
2. You MUST be 18 years or older or have parent's permission.
3. You MUST leave a comment on the blog (not google+) telling me why you would like the product and if I influenced you to try it.
4. You MUST +1 this post.
5. OPTIONAL: Follow my instagram-makeupandbeautylover15

**This giveaway is international and I will pay for the shipping**

I hope you all enjoy this post and enter the giveaway because it will end on MAY 10, 2013...with no extentions. Have a good evening loves!

How To: Stay Focused On Priorities During Times of Stress

Hey loves,

As we all know, stress is a very annoying thing. Everyone, from doctors to parents, has always told us that stress is this terrible thing and we should not do it because it's bad for our health. Honestly, stress is a part of human nature. I have heard some people say, I am never stressed...but, in reality, that is far from the truth. Everyone experiences some sort of stress. Right now, it is exam time and I am enrolled in 6 courses at my university, which means I have 6 exams and a load of studying to do. I AM VERY STRESSED OUT. I am doing well in my courses, but the pressure of the word "exam" just makes me really nervous, although I always do well. Stress can cause havoc on the skin and body. When I stress, I get bumps on my face, I'm tired, I get darker circles under my eyes and it's not a good thing. Being a beauty blogger, it is probably expected that I just put on makeup to cover it up and not worry about...that's not true...well in a sense it is. Ok, I like to reduce the stress to help my skin, but I still put on makeup to cover it. I believe in having beautiful skin under my makeup that way on days that I do not wear it, I do not look like "who did it and why". So yeah, I have come up with a list of things that I do to relieve some of the stress pressures that I have. This list is good for all types of stress.

1. Listen to calm and soothing music. Ok, I personally love r&b, hip hop, and sometimes pop music. But, during stressful times I do not want to hear all of the harsh sounds of it. When I feel stressed I don't want to hear Mary J. Blige singing about "I can't be without you baby"...that's just going to stress me even more because I don't want to think about being without my boyfriend...he's already 300 miles away in AIT school for the Army. I don't want to hear Taylor Swift singing "We are never getting back together"...anyone who I have previously dated already knows that we're not getting back together and I don't want to think about them...who know that may stress me out. I'm just not going to talk about my hip hop music...ya'll ready know. It's ok to every once in a while listen to just a piano playing or a band playing a soft medley. It is very soothing to the mind and brain and it relieves a lot of stress.

2. Eat Healthy Food. Ok, personally I love to eat junk food...a lot. But, I have had to cut it out for issues that I have with my stomach. But, ever since I have stopped eating so much of it, I feel that I have reduced loads of stress. Eating a balanced diet will also help to improve the skin portion of your stress. Some people eat too little when stress and others eat too much while stressed. Try to find that middle balance. My daily eating pattern is: Breakfast, small snack, lunch, mid size snack, dinner, very small snack. Just in case you wanted an idea of a pattern and this is actually what my doctors consider to be a healthy diet for my stomach.

3. Go to a Spa/Massage Parlor. This relieves so much stress for me, because it is so relaxing and it makes me fall asleep. Enough said.

4. Do something that you like to do that does not cause stress. I personally love to play tennis, but I have knee problems so the pain sometimes causes me stress, so this is not on my stress free activities list. Something that I love to do that does not cause me stress is to read magazines. I love all magazines that contain beauty, fashion, interior design and food. It is very relaxing for me to read them, whether it be on my phone, computer or the actual magazine, I love it.

5. Go Out and Have Fun. Bowl, skate, ski, sky dive, go-kart...do whatever you have to do to have some fun. I can't say what I think is the most fun to do because I am always up for doing anything that is adventurist. I want to sky dive...but, I am scared as crap. But, I am going to do it one day anyway!

6. Take Time To Separate Yourself From Stressful Situations. Ok, don't fully quote me on that. Please don't. If you're having problems with your significant other that is causing you stress, just try to work it out..if it's workable. But, if you're stressing at work and you have some vacation time...take a few days off to clear your head because if you don't you're just going to build up a bunch of stress before you explode like a volcano lol. If you're stressing from school, plan to have a weekend where you don't have to study and take the weekend to focus on yourself and have fun and relax.**Please don't get fired from your job or get kicked out school for misinterpreting this post because I will feel very bad**

7. Buy a Stress Relief Ball. This helps for on the spot stress relief. I have a stress relief ball with me everywhere I go because sometimes when I stress I get upset and when I get upset I need to relieve my stress right then and there and this is the best way to relieve yourself from being upset.

This is very important, because stress can take a serious toll on you both physically and mentally. So, if you're experiencing some stress, try out some of these steps.

Also, if your stress has gotten tough and you begin to experience a breakout with bumps, make sure you cleanse your face with a facial cleanser (Clean & Clear Essentials), wash it with a facial soap (Clinique), and moisturize it with a face moisturizer (L'Oreal Ideal Moisturizer).

As always, I hope that all of you lovely ladies enjoy this post. I know it is long, but I wanted to write some things so that you all could get to know me a little better. I will love you all even more if you read the whole thing. Don't forget to +1 and subscribe. Talk to you soon.

Britt

Review Time!

NYX HD Studio Photogenic Foundation

Hey loves, first I would like to apologize for not doing many posts this month. I have been super busy with school and especially now since finals start in two weeks. I will be having two posts up today. After these two posts, I will be focusing some of the "life" portion of my blog because it will be easier for me to do posts on that since I will be studying a lot and taking exams. It will also be a good way for you guys to get to know me a little better as well. So yeah, on to the review.

For this spring I have been loving NYX face products. I honestly never thought that I would try any face products from them, but I decided to venture out and find something new. Ok, I have worn this foundation everyday since last Monday and I LOVE IT so much! OMG! This stuff is amazing. The only bad thing about it is that it does not have a very good shade range. I am normally a caramel color in all of my foundations and I got this foundation in the shade California Tan 08 (which is their deepest shade), so if you're skin tone is a little deeper than that I would not suggest getting this foundation. At first, I did not think it was going to work at all but I decided give it a try and take it back if I don't like it. This is one of the best matching foundations with my skin. It barely oxidizes at all. Before, my go to drugstore foundation was the Revlon ColorStay, but it just began oxidizing so much and I just could not tolerate it anymore. This foundation retails for $15.00. It is carried at some Ulta stores and it is not sold online at the Ulta website. If you want to order it online, you have to click here and order it from NYX. Now for the pros and cons.

Pros
Lightweight
Has a pump for less mess
A little goes a long way
Blends well
Goes on Easy
Good Quality for the Money
Good for all skin types

Cons
Not a good shade range for very deep and very fair skin tones

I really hope that you all go and buy this foundation because it would make me extremely happy, just because lol. Now I have a question for all of you. I am debating on making an instagram and tumblr. I've had some people tell me a tumblr and some say instagram so that I can share pics of me, hauls and other fun things that I do with you all. So, please take the poll on the right and let me know which one you would feel more comfortable looking at.

Makeup Essentials College Students Should Have Everyday On The Go!

Hey loves!

As you all know I am currently in my sophomore year of college! So, having many things on the go is very important because I have to do a lot of walking and it is getting extremely hot where I live, so I have made a post to help out other college students (or anyone else who is on the go a lot) with figuring out what to have in their to go makeup bag for the spring.

1. Nail Polish. I definitely learned my lesson about not having any nail polish with me on the go during the spring and summer, during my freshman year of school. So, I was walking around campus looking cute with my friends and my flip flops on. Out of no where, I tripped on a crap in the ground, I did not fall or hurt myself, but my nail polish was very chipped and it was very noticeable lol. So, since it is hot again, that is the first thing I have put in my makeup bag. The nail polish brands that I like to use are Ulta, OPI and SinfulColors.

2. Lip Balm. Just as it is important not to have chapped lips in the fall and winter, it is equally important not to have them in the fall and spring. It's one thing for me to see someone with chapped lips in the winter, but if I see it in the spring it's just like WHYYYYY! Lol. There is one girl who works with me and every time we work together she always complains that her lips are hurting and chapped. I always ask her why don't you carry chapstick or lip balm with you and she just says "I don't know". My lips are rarely chapped, but I would rather have lip balm to moisturize them, than to walk around with my lips hurting.

3. Matte Powder. The reason I put the NYX powder in the picture is because I recently purchased this stuff. Let me tell you guys, this powder really works! I get oily and sweaty in 80 degree weather like we have been having, but I did not get oily or sweaty in the 11 hours that I had it on for! I put this on at 7 am and took it off at 8 pm. I used it with the NYX HD Photogenic Liquid Foundation. I have a detailed review on it. It stayed fresh the entire time and I didn't have to reapply it a single time. I put it in my bag just in case I will one day. So you should definitely check that out!

4. Oil-Absorbing Sheets. These are very important for everyone who has oily skin! I can't stress this enough. Depending on where you go, you can get them for really cheep. I normally get them from walmart for $3, but I have friends who say that they have found some for $1, so it all depends on where you shop. My nose is the oiliest part of my face so I am blotting even when I am not getting to oily just to shop it. I blot whether I have on face makeup or not. It's just really important.

5. Pocket Tissue. This is really important for everyone who has allergies. I personally have allergies year round, but they are much worse in the spring. If I don't take my medicine, my face gets really swollen and puffy and it does not look good, so I really have to be careful. But, the tissues are for runny eyes, sneezing, and can be to fix imperfections that happen with your makeup throughout the day.

6. Lip Gloss. I don't think that I really have to describe this one but every girl knows that we need our gloss. I am really feeling the Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Illume for the Spring. It retails for $19. It reminds me of the summer time when I go to Cold Stone, Ben & Jerry's, or Carvel because it smells like an ice cream shop. I love the smell.

7. Mascara. This is needed just in case you cry or your eyes get really watery. It's also just in case you forget to put it on in the morning. You guys already know why I love the Benefit They're Real. For the link to that post click here. I also found a dupe for it and am doing a giveaway for the dupe, so click here for that.

8. Eyeliner. I have a very bad habit of rubbing my eyes, especially in the spring with them being itchy, so this is a must for touch ups. Right now, I am loving all of the eyeliners from smashbox and L'Oreal. I generally do not have a preference for eyeliner...yet :)

9. Body Lotion. I don't know about all of you but, in the summer, I only wear shorts, dresses, skirts, etc. My legs are going to be out 90% of the time. So, lotion is important. As I told all of you in my morning routine post, I am running late almost every morning. So, I tend to forget a lot of stuff. Putting on lotion is one of them. Having a body lotion is handy because once I make it to class, work, church, wherever I am going, I will just throw it on really fast.

So, I hope that you ladies enjoy this post and leave a comment below telling me what are somethings that you need to have in your "To Go Makeup Bag" everyday or you can just tell me a product that you must have with you and why. I would love to hear it all. Well, I hope that you all will spread this post around to your friends and family members. Talk to you soon (tomorrow)!

Thanks loves,
Britt

I Am Really Feeling NYX Cosmetics For April!

Hi Loves! I wanted to share with you all as to how much I am loving NYX for this month. I will have a haul up on the blog Friday because I am going back to buy even more. I have been wearing NYX cosmetics for a while but it was never my go to brand. So, yesterday I went to Ulta and I was a little sad because one of my friends is no longer working there. But, I still had love from everyone else :). But, another one of the girls who works there and I have grown to love recommended like all of the NYX products to me. I never thought that I would buy a foundation from NYX, but I did and OMG I really like it. I am not going to say how much I spent in Ulta yesterday on NYX and other brands, but I will be going back to Ulta to spend even more money lol. I can't wait to show you guys which products I have purchased. But, I am sitting in the building before my class starts and I just wanted to share that with you all. So look forward to see it on Friday. And hey, I may start a new giveaway the same day I end a different one. I am in such a giving mood.

Thanks loves,
Britt

Review Time!

Hello Kitty Wild Thing Palette

Hello Kitty - Wild Thing Makeup Palette

Hey loves!

As I promised you guys in my March Favorites post, I am bringing a review of the hello kitty wild thing palette with swatches. This is my current favorite makeup palette because you can create anything from a very natural daytime eye to a smokin' night time smokey eye! The colors are swatched below.

The colors are not named or numbered, so I just went from left to right and down the rows. My favorite colors to use in the pallete (my normal everyday look) is the second color all over the lid, the last color in the crease and fifth color in my browbone. As you can tell, these colors are extremely pigmented. Some of the colors actually appear to be a bit lighter due to my lighting. These colors are very easy to apply. Some of the eyeshadow palettes that I have, the colors can tend to be a bit tough to grab. However, this one is very smoothe. The palette itself comes with 12 shadows, a compact mirror, an eyeliner, and it all comes in a collectible tin (which you can store things once you use everything up). As you all should know from yesterday, my boyfriend had bought me this. I had been wanting this palette for months and I didn't want to buy it because I just did not think it would be very pigmented at all. Honestly, the main reason I wanted it is because I love Hello Kitty lol. But, I am very happy and thankful that he had got it for me...I love him so much. But, what I love the most about it is that you can create any type of look and you will be amaxed at the outcome. Some mornings, I just mix colors together and I'm just like OMG I can't believe it actually looks good. I literally have never blended and mixed the colors in this palette and said "Oh, that doesn't look right". I have done that with every other palette that I have. It's just a really fun palette and it is good for all seasons. You can order it online for $34 because most Sephora stores are sold out because it was limited edition. But, this is one thing that I must say every girl needs in her collection. Whether you are a beginner or a pro. It is definitely amazing and I love it!

Well, I definitely hope that you ladies enjoy this review and go and order this palette as soon as you can before it's all sold out!

Thanks loves,
Britt

March 2013 Favorites!!!!

Hi Loves,

In March, I had a lot of favorites to haul! Like too many! Therefore, this post is going to be really long. So, bare with me! :)

1. Sephora Collection Advanced Airbrush Set
SEPHORA COLLECTION - Advanced Airbrush Set

These brushes were a gift from my boyfriend for my birthday last month. These brushes are amazing! Like, I am so happy that he got them for me. They really give me a flawless, airbrush look! They work with any foundation, concealer, etc. This set comes with a powder brush, foundation brush, concealer brush, crease brush and eye brush. This set retails at Sephora for $65. It is on the pricey side, but it is definitely worth the price. I love, love, love this brush set.

2. Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24-Hour Foundation
LancĂ´me - Teint Idole Ultra 24H
In this foundation, I am the shade 430 Bisque C. This foundation shade is literally the most perfect foundation shade that I have ever tried. One of the many things that I love about it is that it is non-transferable, meaning that it does not rub off. Also, it does not oxidize as fast as many other foundations do. It does not start to oxidize until about 8 hours of wear. Even when it oxidizes, it still does not turn overly dark as many foundations do. This foundation retails for $45.

3. CoverGirl Queen Lasting Matte Pressed Powder
COVERGIRL Queen Lasting Matte Pressed Powder - Golden Medium 415
In this powder, I am the shade golden. The golden shade is a perfect shade for me. I like to wear this powder on top of my liquid foundations to set my makeup. This powder is very inexpensive. It retails from $5-8.

4. Hello Kitty Wild Thing Makeup Pallete
Hello Kitty - Wild Thing Makeup Palette
This pallete was also one of the many birthday gifts I had got from my boyfriend. I wanted this pallete for a really long time and he knew that and got it. I really love this pallete. I use at least one color out of this pallette during the week. **I will be posting swatches of this tomorrow in a post with a full review**. This pallete retails for $34, originally $49 and it is a $200 value. The pigmentation is really good as well. It comes with 12 eyeshadows, an eyeliner, and a compact mirror, all in a collectible tin case. I am not sure if sephora still sells it or not because it was limited edition. But, if they do, you should definitely get it as soon as you can. The colors are also good for creating a spring time look.

You guys have already saw my review and raves about this product.

6. Smashbox Full Exposure

You all have saw my rave on this one as well.

7. L'Oreal Go 360 Clean

I have switched facial cleansers, as you all should know from previous posts that I used to use the Clean and Clear Essentials Daily Facial Cleanser. Well, now I love the L'Oreal Go 360 Clean. I love it because it smells really good. It also comes with a sponge for you to exfoliate with. The sponge pops in and out of the bottle which is very convenient. This is really good for removing makeup. I love it.

8. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
Smashbox - Photo Finish Foundation Primer
Before, I was using the Black Radiance Shine Control Primer, until I fell in love with this one. With this primer, a little goes a very long way. The tube is $36, but it could literally last you like 8 months or more if you use it properly because you really do not need much at all!

9. Maybelline ShineSensational in Cocoa Fever

I have been on a hunt to find a gloss that would go on my lips like a nude and natural color while matching my skin tone and this was the perfect one for the job. With a lot of my glosses, I have to mix colors with clear gloss to make them work for my skin. But, with this one, all I have to do is apply the gloss. It is a very pretty color. It also smells really good (like cocoa) and it tastes sweet. Love it!

10. Wet 'n Wild Mocha-Licious

This lipstick is very good for the price. I have many lipsticks from wet 'n wild because they are actually decent quality for their price. I had gotten this from Walgreens for $2.99. It is very good. When I bought this one, I bought another one of their lipsticks called "make me blush". However, I have only used that one once and it is just as good, but I have not used it enough to add it to my march favorites.

11. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream
Dream Fresh BB
I am in the shade medium/deep. As you all know, this was not my favorite product in the world when I first got it. But, this month, I decided to try it out for an entire week and i loved it. The way that I had used it was I applied it with a foundation brush and the lightly brushed my CoverGirl powder over it for a little bit of coverage. I actually like it for my lighter days when I do not to wear heavy makeup. I see this as being my go to product for the summer because foundation can be a bit of a drag to wear when there are temperatures in the high 80s and the sun blazing.

That will conclude my March Favorites post! I would love to hear what all of your march favorites were. If you are a fellow blogger, leave the link to your favorites down below. Dupe Alert!!! +Giveaway

Hey loves!!!

Thanks to one of my lovely friends on campus, I have found out that Wet n' Wild's MegaLength is a dupe for the Benefit They're Real Mascara. Me and her are big fans of the Benefit They're Real Mascara! Ok, I am going to be honest...I was very afraid to try a mascara from Wet 'n Wild because I heard a horrible story about them one time I was reading reviews about their MegaProtien Mascara on MakeupAlley. The person had wrote that it made their naturally curly lashes turn straight and it was a horrid experience for them, so I told myself that I would never purchase any mascaras from them...but that has changed. I have learned that I cannot rely fully on reviews from other people because every person is different, genetically and personally. Some products that most people hate, I love them and some products that most people love, I absolutely hate. Ok, back to the comparisons lol. She had told me that they were very similar, so I decided to take a chance and give it a try. I really like this mascara. It is literally just as good as the Benefit. I mean, for the Wet 'n Wild to only be $2.99 and the Benefit is $23, you just can't beat that. What I like about the Wet 'n Wild is that it doesn't clump and it goes on very easily. It also dries fast because it is not overly wet. If you are a beginner at makeup, I would definitely suggest you buying this one. Also, if you do not want to spend $23 on a mascara I would recommend this. As a matter of fact, I am feeling very generous, so I will be giving away one of the Wet 'n Wild mascaras for someone to try. The rules for this is very simple and they are:

1. Must be a subscriber
2. Must leave a comment below (on the blog, not google plus) telling your favorite mascara

Only 2 Simple rules :) What better way to kick off the month than with a lovely giveaway!
